On Monday 19th September 2005, Romancing.co.uk held a 25-39 age range speed dating evening at 4DQ in the Corner House Hotel. 

Ok! The candles are fired-up at The Corner House Hotel and we're ready for action!!

The evening started at 7pm (although several ultra keen daters arrived at 6.45) with registration. Kate and John (The Romancing.co.uk hosts for the evening) gave everyone a name tag, dating card and a playing card. During registration all the Daters gathered in the Bar for a drink prior to being called into the seated area ready to start dating. Using the playing cards they had chosen each Dater was asked to sit at the table corresponding to their playing card. This ensured that pot luck would decide where everyone started Dating.

John then gave a short presentation to the 26 Daters on what to expect from the evening, how to move from date to date and of course completing the all important Dating (score) card.

The first round of Dating finished at around 8.30 and prior to the interval Romancing.co.uk gave away a Meal for 2 at the 4DQ restaurant, the lucky winner will use the prize to take one of his or her "matching" dates from the evening out for a really special night.

The half time break was supposed to be 15-20 minutes, but everyone was having such fun in the Bar it was extended to half an hour.

After the break the dating recommenced completing at around 9.45pm, at which point John thanked everyone for coming and explained that all the Daters would be contacted within 24 hours with their respective matches. 

This hugely successful evening ended with many of the Dater's socializing in the Bar.

The following day John sorted out all the Matches, in other words only pairing up those who ticked each other. Each Dater then received the contact details of their Matches.

Romancing.co.uk are very pleased to announce that ALL Daters received at least one match with the average dater receiving four.
